Job Title:
SMT Assembly Assistant

Objective:
To assist in the setup, assembly, breakdown, and tracking of jobs that require SMT assembly by machine.

Duties:
Assembly Assistants share responsibility for the timely completion of jobs: This responsibility is shared with the General Manager. Primary duties are to assist with the setup, assembly, and breakdown of jobs that require surface mount assembly by machine. The machines that will be used are a Milara stencil printer, a MyData My12 pick-n-place, and a Heller reflow oven. Other duties will include the tracking of component inventories and the compilation of performance measures (such as the time to build an assembly).

Roles and Relationships:
Assembly Assistants report directly to the General Manager, and are held accountable to the general directions of the company officers. They are expected to interact with supervisors and employees of other departments. Assembly Assistants will work in an apprenticeship role with the GM for the first few months, and then work towards a more independent role.

Specifications:
This position is 40 hours per week, paid on an hourly basis.
